Wedding Makeup Artist in Kogi State

When you have a special occasion or wedding is not a time to allow just anyone to play with your face or learn work as a makeup artist. Follow our tips to find and choose a good Kogi Makeup artist.
Makeup Artist In Lokoja
Finding a really good makeup artist is hard, especially these days that everyone is looking for cash here and there and everyone and their sister and aunty and cousin is a makeup artist.

As a bride, everyone will be staring at your face, at your makeup, and they will say ‘wow’ if it is fine BUT will gossip you if you look like a mini masquerade – and much of that depends on who you hire as your wedding day makeup artist.

Makeup Artist In Kogi

We are happy to see many brides paying to get their face professionally done for their weddings, but many Kogi brides fail to do their due diligence when choosing a makeup artist.

We are tired of Kogi brides looking like masquerades in the name of makeup.  Well-done makeup should not make you look unrecognizable but instead, make you look like a polished version of yourself.
Wedding Makeup Artist in Kogi State
That’s what a skilled or professional makeup artist will give you. So, how do you know the i-wan-be-makeup-artist types from the real deal, and avoid being used as a muse for makeup practical by a learner who is looking for fast ‘chop-money’? Well, that’s what you’ll find out in this post.

Choosing a Good Wedding Makeup Artist that Will Deliver

There are two main processes to finding a good makeup artist for your wedding or any occasion –

(1) first you have to search and make a list of who and who to contact,

(2) and then you have to select which one is the best fit for you.

A: Where (and How) to Find a Skilled Makeup Artist: The Discovery Process

Most Lokoja brides travel to their villages for the traditional wedding, and it is not that cheap to transport a Lagos makeup artist outside their base.

So, where do you start looking when you don’t know a single makeup artist in an area.

Follow our steps below:

Ask Stylish people if they know or have used a good makeup artist that they can recommend to you.

Search Google, Kogi Biography Or Instagram for makeup artists in your area (for most of our readers, they would type something like: Kogi makeup artists or Best Kogi makeup artists)

Track Record with Doing Bridal Makeup:
Make sure that the makeup artist you’re considering has done a lot of your type of events.

For Most Kogi Bridal’s, they would be looking for bridal makeup artists, not those that have not done any or plenty wedding makeup for brides.

Some makeup artists are better experienced with prepping the face of runway models or film actors or stage – and they may not give you the kind of look you have in mind.

If you like light makeup and hire a Kogi makeup artist that usually does heavy makeup, you will hate your wedding-day face in pictures; same goes for a bride that likes full coverage makeup hiring a Kogu makeup artist that does light-handed makeup.

Recents Works:

Take a look at the before and after pictures of the artist’s past clients, from an event similar to that which you will be attending (for most of our readers, you want to see before and after wedding makeup pictures – maybe you are going to be a bride, or a wedding guest, or even the mother/ sister of the bride (or groom).

Make a list of 3 to 5 makeup artists whose before and after faces look like the face you want on your wedding day.

HINTS: Use the above 5 steps to make a list of possible Kogi makeup artists you should contact.
Follow the next steps to know what to do to pick the one that is right for Artist

Choosing the Right Makeup Artist

Once you have made a list of the good makeup artists out there, you have to choose one. Obviously, not all of them will be right for you. Here’s a guide to help you filter the good from the not-so-good list of makeup artists you compiled:

(1.) Contact them one by one and have them do a TRIAL of their work on you: The idea here is to interview them to see if you ‘vibe with the person; to ‘test’ their work on your face (before your big day) so that you can see if they do your style of makeup; see photos of brides they have done makeup for in the past; show them pictures of wedding-day makeup that you like and ask if they can try it on your face; and finally to ask about price and their availability on your wedding date.

(2.) See Sample Works Before You Pay:

How can you be sure that a makeup artist that claims to know his/ her stuff will give you a glam face? Testing with your money could mean a hit or miss BUT the surefire way to know is to see pictures of their before and after makeovers.

If you have lots of spots from pimples or have tribal marks, you’d want to see before and after makeup showing where the makeup artist truly covered a client’s spots or tribal marks.

You may also want to find out that they won’t over-paint you to look like a masquerade. Seeing previous works is the only way to believing before you pay or hire a Good Kogi makeup artist.

(3.) Get a Professional Makeup Artist:

Don’t Allow Anyone to Learn Work with Your Face,  Allowing someone to do your makeup free – whether they are an expert or an amateur is risky.

Well, except you want to risk your wedding pictures – most brides tell us that one of their biggest regrets is ‘the way their poorly-done makeup made them look in their wedding photos’.

So, don’t allow a non tried and tested makeup artist to ‘use your wedding face to learn work’.

In fact, it’s safer to avoid hiring a friend or family member to do your makeup or photography, even if they say ‘free’ –

just allow them to enjoy themselves as guests (because if they make mistakes, your wedding pictures will forever remind you and make you cry the rest of your life).

(4.) Right Makeup Artist for Your Type of Occasion:

When hiring a professional Kogi Makeup Artist, find one that has done lots of the type of makeup you want –

some makeup artists are good at bridals and not great at heavy, dramatic makeup, such as those worn by musicians – and vice versa. For example: if you’re a bride, hire a makeup artist who specializes in bridal makeup, and nothing less.

Please Note:
The best is not necessarily the most expensive. There are great kogi state makeup artists that don’t charge an arm and leg, and there are those that charge very high but not so good at the skill. So, ensure to make your final selection based on the makeup artist that charges what you can pay.

Kogi State Pro Makeup Artists and Countless Amateurs

Do You Know that your hobbyist sister or stylish friend cannot give you a better face makeover than what you see in any of
the before and after bridal makeovers here.

Once you see a professionally done makeup, you would agree that it’s totally a bad idea to allow an amateur to do your wedding makeup.

Your wedding is only but one day, but the pictures would stare at you long, long after – either making you smile that you made the right decision to hire a professional makeup artist OR reminding you that you were stingy with paying a little extra to prep up your face 😃.

One of the biggest put-offs at many Kogi State weddings is the bride’s face. She is either over-made-up, so much so that she looks almost like a masquerade or she has these long, dramatic fake eyelashes that scream “I am very fake” to the guests and heavy ‘pancakes’ powder (pancake is the Kogi speak for tinted face powder).

If you’re like us, the first thing that comes to your mind is ‘why did this bride leave her makeup to the mercy of amateurs?’ or could she not have bothered to learn how to do her makeup herself like a pro?🤔

And, on the flip side, there are beautiful wedding makeup pictures of Kogi brides that wow us and cause our jaws to drop in appreciation.

Get a Professional Kogi Makeup Artist and Get Your Money’s Worth

Whether you’re going to be a bride soon or a wedding guest, choose a skilled makeup artist – our above steps will help.

Most Kogi State brides are afraid that if they hire a makeup artist, that artist will over-paint their faces and make them look like someone else (a mini masquerade).

But that’s not true – it’s amateur artists that do that. If you like natural-looking makeup, tell your makeup artist and they will give you just that. They won’t put fake eyelashes on you if you don’t like – by the way, there are ‘original eyelashes’ and (almost) no one will notice it’s not your natural lashes.

The bottom-line is this – if you decide to pay to get your face done, find a skilled, practicing makeup artist by asking people.

And be sure to do try them before your wedding day, to see if their makeup style is a good fit for you.

We always advice our brides that photography and makeup are two of things that are better left to professionals. You can do your own everyday makeup yourself but find a GOOD makeup artist to do your wedding day makeup.

The Weighty Sins Of Dr. Saka Haruna And How He Looted Over 2 Billion Naira

Published

on

The Weighty Sins Of Dr. Saka Haruna, The Charlatan Who Finds His Way as Kogi State Commissioner of Health, Stole About Half A Billion Naira.

The Dismissed swindler, Covetous, hardhearted and Quack who got his way to become the Kogi State Commissioner for Health is seen presently to have recruited social media miscreants to shelter up his plundering and thus deserves to be handed over with his vision-less defenders to the Regulatory Agency for rigorous investigation.

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Bello is a compensator of loyalty, and excellence. His steps to have dismissed the erstwhile commissioner is the best decision ever, however, the succeeding step probable is handing over the criminal to the required authority to cough the ginormous dosh he has swallowed.
Check as cataloged below:

1a) His unprofessionalism is bringing down a complete facility that is serving an entire LGA and beyond. The demolished hospital stands in a vast land space which instead of erecting a new one, he unprofessionally and mischievously deprived the people of Ajaokuta Constituency of accessible health facilities but diverted the fund released by Governor Bello to erect a standard Hospital for himself in Kano.

b) There was an upheaval in the locality, however in an attempt to convince the Governor, he told him that the project is 90% revived but in reality the project is actually 5% in progress.

c.) As part of Saka’s illusory methods, he assembled the traditional rulers and basked them that the fund required for the project to be completed is just a million naira. All his calculated illusive efforts to stop the community from lamenting later attracted serious hatred for Governor Bello’s Administration scoring 0% achievement in health sector of Ajaokuta local government.

2) When Saka was dismissed, he ran to the Chief of Staff to the Governor for help, but the clever Asuku recapped Saka of his greed and how he obliterated his struggle in appointing an Ajaokuta Son, Pharmacist Itopa as an Executive Secretary for Kogi State Drugs and Equipment Board base on merit. Chief Asuku declined to identify with an avaricious criminal which Governor Bello will soon deal with.

3) Investigation has also shown that Saka was the brain behind the vandalization that happened sometims ago where sophisticated medical equipment ordered from oversea to Specialist Hospital were carted away from the Kogi state medical warehouse. Majority of those equipment moved away were only a calculated looting mechanisms for Saka to transfer those equipment to Saka’s Newly Built Hospital in Kano.

4) Ajaokuta constituents and people that know the cheekiness of Saka are celebrating his dismissal because they know how repulsive he is. Saka is said to have the longest, broadest and sophisticated gate in his residence. The Governor was earlier informed about his resistance to receive people but gate them under scorching sun without open door policy that the new direction preaches.

The looted fund from the state Government by Saka Haruna is estimated to be N423,377,209.38k for just the Ajaokuta axis. Total estimate of 2billion and above is researched to have been looted in the last 6 years under the supervision of the commissioner for health viz-a-viz other international health funding and state counterpart funding.

Recalled that, Saka Audu took to facebook some months ago where he was castigating the commissioner for works and Housing, Eng. Abubakar Ohere for being a barrier to him for his looting convention. The guess is correct to say, that was when Eng. Ohere knew Saka and he gave him a close marking. Not saying Ohere is a saint still.

In an interview with the Executive Governor of Kogi State, he was asked where he got the money he used in erecting the Hospital in Kano, but Saka only resulted to crying foul as usual. What a character!

It is heartbreaking that Governor Bello’s effort in in health in Ajaokuta Constituency is zilch where Saka is even a citizen. The world standard Reference Hospital is situated in Okene which has a branchy in Anyigba, Gegu and Ajaokuta. Attach picture are evident of the progress of the projects in other local Governments in comparison to that of the mere 40% of Ajaokuta LGA.

#GYB2PYB is possible through viable projects. Before I end this, more office holders to still go down. This is no longer first tenure where all misdoings are overlooked. All criminals must go home.

KOGI WEST SENATE: IS MINISTER RAMATU CONTESTING?

Published

on

By:
Farouk Ozigi Onimisi

1. In recent days, calls have been coming my way and some Team Ramatu Members as we receive congratulations and well wishes over a speculated Senate Mission by our Amazon, the Onyize of Ebiraland and Honourable Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory, Hajia Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu (Ph.D).

2. While it is very satisfactory to think of the White Princess worthy of this Kogi West Senate, it is rather unfortunate those in the inner circle of the Honourable Minister are not yet aware of this decision.

3. To start with, the Honourable Minister of State, FCT, Hajia Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu (Ph.D) was appointed to serve as Honourable Minister in the Next Level Mandate of President Muhammadu Buhari on 21st August, 2019. This appointment is barely 2 Years, 8 months.

4. It is one thing to aspire to lead the good people of Kogi West in the Red Chambers but has Dauuduu Ramatu fulfilled the mandate and trust President Muhammadu Buhari reposed on her?

5. Personally, I am aware of her numerous valueable contributions in the development of Federal Capital Territory Administration. Within these few years, she has, in collaboration with the Principal Minister, brought relevance to the up to date running of the FCT.

6. The doctrine of popular sovereignty brought into Nigerian politics by the White Princess Ramatu denies the justice of a society ordered by inherited rank. It proclaims there is no class which possesses a natural right to rule over other, supposedly inferior classes. Put succinctly, Ramatu believes on the equality of all, justifying properly, the principle of equality in the Nigerian Constitution.

7. To Hajia Ramatu, loyalty of 99.9% is not a loyalty. Hence, she always strive in upholding the virtuous recognition shown to her by President Muhammadu Buhari and it would be disloyal for PMB reading these speculations on social and visual prints when his daughter whom he is so pleased with has not consulted him on the said Senatorial Ambition. No matter the level of your achievements, no one outclasses his or her Masters. For PMB and RTA, it is father and daughter.

8. Where are the speculations emanating from sincerely? Wait a minute, is it based on the numerous support the White Princess Ramatu has shown Kogites? Oh, how sympathising Nigerians could be. What the Honourable Minister has/will continue to do is evident of her satisfying characteristics and showing the humanity in her. It was never for any ambition.

9. I remembered vividly some times ago on our Team Ramatu National Platform when someone out of sincerity displayed some flyers of the White Princess to run for the Senate. She immediately responded: “who is contesting, bring the flyers down, please?”

10. Several meetings have also been held by those who recognised her service to humanity but she persistently said she was not extending her hands for anything in return. Like a liberator, she knew the segmented neutrophils that have affected the social being of her people and she was just being humane with her purposeful style of leadership.

11. We are rather surprised if our mother has overturned what she has long seen as unnecessary at the moment. While we also anticipate into her future endeavours, I am pleased to inform the general public that the incumbent Honourable Minister of State, Federal Capital Territory, Hajia Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu (Ph.D), is not aspiring for Kogi West Senate. If it thus becomes necessary, she will make her official declaration like others have done across the nation.

12. Thus, it is necessary to continue standing by the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration as they continue to defend the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. While we appreciate Nigerians finding Dauuduu Ramatu of elective position, it is necessary, nevertheless to rather looked into what one can do without being in any elective position as so far displayed in her sincerity of purpose.
