Kaylan and Jaden decided to check the field to see if Xander would still be there.

“Are you sure I’m looking good enough?” Kaylan asked, taking a look at her toes.

“Honestly, you’re looking stunning, Kaylan. But I’m still wondering what exactly you have in mind, you know? And I really can’t wait to see it” Jaden giggled.

“Just wait and see, Jaden. I definitely have something good. Just wait till Xander sees me….”

The few people they came across couldn’t stop stealing glances at Kaylan, especially the maids who always knew her to be so unruly and dress like a commoner some times. Why was she looking explicitly different today – they wondered.

Her long hair which was styled to the right fitted her long blue gown which sparkled a little. Her make up was just perfect and brought out a beauty they’d never seen in her. Well, that was how the wife of Lord Xander should be, just that, they weren’t used to this particular wife of his.

Kaylan and Jaden finally got to the field, but unfortunately, Xander was nowhere to be found. Only the guards still training there.

“Seems he’s returned to his chambers” Jaden said from behind, her eyes still glued to the field

“Are you sure hes in his chambers?” Kaylan asked.

“Not sure. Just thinking….”

“Alright then, let’s go check it out”.

And they turned around and left.

Princess Sharon stood right there at the balcony with Mansi beside her. Mansi’s maid was helping her fix her bangles while Sharon filled her with some trending topics.

Suddenly, she spotted someone walking down on the last floor, someone that looked so familiar.

“Isn’t that Kaylan?” She asked with a crumpled look and Mansi turned to have a look.
Surprise crept into their faces.

“It… looks like her” Mansi scoffed, holding onto the handrails of the balcony to have a proper look.
“I’d seen her a while ago and I’m pretty sure she wasn’t dressed like this”.

“Well, I’ve never seen her dressed like this” Sharon chipped in.
“Why the sudden change?”

Mansi said nothing else as she just continued staring, while Sharon had grown bittered already.
Why was Kaylan looking so good all of a sudden? She should’ve remained looking shaggy the way she normally looked so Xander would get used to it. Why the sudden change of plans?

Anyways, her plan with her father was already in motion and in less than two days time, he’ll be coming to see Lord Xander himself. Everything would definitely fall into place; very soon and she couldn’t wait…

Kaylan and Jaden marched towards Lord Xander’s chambers, with Kaylan feeling a little nervous.

They could see the door from a distance already when all of a sudden, they saw another lady walking towards it. She was closer to the door than they were.

“Who’s that?” Kaylan asked as she stopped walking with Jaden.
“Could she be a maid?”

“That isn’t a maid. Don’t tell me you don’t know her. She frequent Lord Xander’s room a lot and I heard some of the maids say something like, she was his séx Mistress”. Jaden replied and Kaylan’s eyes dimmed immediately.
Whaaat???

“Sèx what???” She flinched and quickly looked back at the direction of the lady who was already walking into the chambers.
“He has a sèx mistress?”

“Yes, so I heard”.

Everything in Kaylan’s stomach began churning instantly. The hell! The so called Lord Xander had a sèx mistress?

“So, that grumpy man has a sèx mistress when he’s married to me?” She asked with her right hand on her waist.
“Doesn’t this mean he’s cheating on me?”

“And what’re you trying to say, Kaylan?” Jaden scoffed. “Have you ever tried acting like a wife to him? Since you two got married, have you ever gone to his room to say HI or, maybe, get him breakfast, lunch or dinner like a true wife should do? Have you ever made any advances towards him and even if he tries making advances towards you or calls you for sèx, will you accept?”

For a second, Kaylan was tongue-tied.

“I don’t have to discuss my marital issues with you, Jaden. So let me be” she said with a stern look and glared hard at his chambers.

But Jaden’s sensible words repeated in her head. No; they weren’t sensible. Why would she be the one to make advances towels her husband? And if he ever calls her for sèx, to perform her wifely duties, of course, she would obey him….right?

“So, what’re we going to do now? His séx Mistress is probably pleasuring him already” Jaden said with an eye roll and Kaylan looked at her.

“Well…. I’m not leaving here without Xander. And I’m definitely going to stand here and wait for some mistress to steal my time with my husband”.
And before Jaden could call her name, she started walking away, heading towards his chambers.

Anya walked into the room and met Lord Xander sharpening his smaller knife. The sharp sound of the iron sharpening filled the room and made Anya a little uncomfortable.

“Greetings, My Lord” she bowed respectfully, but Xander didn’t stop or turn to look at her as he continued sharpening his knife for some more time.

“Get on the bed, Anya” he finally said, grumpily and Anya took off her clothes.

The bed was her next location when she was done as she walked towards it and laid on her tummy.

When Xander had gotten the desired nature of the knife, he placed it on the table and was about taking off his robe to go join Anya on the bed when all of a sudden, he heard some voices outside his chambers.
It sounded more like an argument was going on with a female’s voice dominating.

“You have no right to stop me. I want to see him” he heard that particular voice.

Anya could hear them as well and was surprised and wondered what was possibly going on.

“Axel!” Xander called and the chief guard came running in few seconds later.

“My Lord…”

“What’s going on there?”

Axel hesitated, being a little distracted by Anya laying nàked on the bed.

“It’s the Princess, My Lord. She’s urgently requesting to see you” he replied with a bow and Xander arched a brow.
The princess wanted to see him?

“For what reason?”

“I have no idea, My Lord” Axel replied.

Then, Xander turned slightly to look at Anya.

“Put your clothes back on” he ordered and Anya did just that immediately.
She left the bed, wore her clothes back on and stood aside with her head bowed like a humble servant.

“Let her in” Xander further said to Axel who bowed and left immediately.

Few seconds later, the princess walked in. Princess Kaylan.

Kaylan’s anxiety increased the moment she walked through that door, but she tried as much as possible not to show it or let her steps falter. She reminded herself that she was looking so beautiful and had to sum it up with some good attitude.

Xander was stunned – he wouldn’t deny – seeing the princess that way. And Kaylan noticed it in his eyes, when they flickered with a little bit of admiration. But it was only for a split second as the next, the dark look was back on.

“Greetings, Alpha” she greeted with a bow, then took her gaze to Anya to shut her a glare.

“Princess Kaylan” Lord Xander called, his tone as cold as ever.
“What is so urgent that you nearly burst into my room?”

Kaylan hesitated a little, still glaring at Anya and taking a scrutinized look at her.
She was beautiful, but being her husband’s mistress made her ugly.

“I have… something important to discuss with you, My Lord” she finally said, her shoulders going higher than they should.
So, he’d have been inside of that lady if she hadn’t interfered? Curse that bed!

“And what is it?” Xander’s Cold voice came laconically.

“It’s very important, My Lord. But I can’t say it in front of that woman. She needs to leave” Kaylan faciled and Kaylan had to lift her gaze from the floor to look at her.
Huh?

Slowly, Xander looked at Anya, then at Kaylan and back at Anya.

“Leave us” he ordered and with a bow, she walked out of the room.

Tears strolled down Hilda’s cheeks as she watched the boys bring out their swords and take it to the neck of her son who was tied in front of her.
They were going to kill him!!

“No! Please…! Don’t touch him, please! He’s all I’ve got”. Hilda cried out, wanting to stretch her hands but couldn’t since her hands were tied.

How did it get to this point? Who were these men and why were they trying to cause her pains?

She could remember vividly; she’d returned home and found them in that state – her son tied to the chair with the boys beside him. What could be going on? What has she done to deserve this?

“We don’t have to hurt you or your son, young woman” one of the boys suddenly said, taking the sword closer to her son’s neck and threatening a cut.
“But if you don’t do as we say, we’ll have no choice but to make you live a lonely life because your son would definitely be going beneath the ground”.

“No!! I’ll do anything you ask of me. Please, just don’t hurt him I beg of you. Please…” She whimpered fearfully and the boys smiled, knowing they’d gotten her exactly where they wanted..

Lord Xander stood, staring at the letter in his hand.

An invitation to a sword fight from Prince Berlin? And not just any fight, but a fight to death?
Why would Berlin demand such? He pondered over it and just then, saw the note at the end of the letter:
“TO AVENGE MY SISTERS’ DEATH”.

Oh…

Then, it became clear to Xander. He was inviting him to a swords fight for vengeance?

“My Lord” the messenger called when he didn’t say anything for a while.
“Someone’s waiting to take your report. Are you accepting the challenge or not, My Lord?” He tried sounding as humble as possible, and succeeded.

Lord Xander continued staring at the letter for some more while, digesting it in. It was going to be in an open field, in the presence of so many Kings, Masters and Rulers.

Exhaling lightly, he rolled the letter up and handed it back to the messenger.

“Write a letter to Prince Berlin and tell him I accept his challenge”. He stated coldly and walked away, going to resume his training at the field
And without hesitation, the messenger bowed and ran off.

“What do you think is in that letter, Jaden?” Kaylan asked as she watched the messenger run off.

“Seriously Kaylan? Have I become a ghost or something? How do you expect me to know what’s in it, huh? I’ve been standing here with you, Jaden replied.

“God! You talk too much, Jaden. A simple NO would’ve been cool with me instead of talking like a parrot” Kaylan stated with an eye roll, earning a glare from Jaden.
But she didn’t see it and didn’t care anyway and they both became quiet as they continued watching Xander.

“Hm. Can you notice Xander’s looking more angry now?” Kaylan suddenly asked observantly.

“Yeah, I can notice. What do you think the problem could be? Must’ve been that letter from the messenger”, Jaden also noted and they resumed watching silently.

Kaylan couldn’t help but notice how handsome he looked even in his angry mood. As a matter of fact, he even seemed more cute when angry.

She really wanted to teach this guy a lesson and make him understand he’s made a grave mistake ever disrespecting and disregarding her in the first place. She was ready to make that happen.

“And what’re you two doing here?” They suddenly heard a voice from behind and quickly turned to see it was Mansi – Madame Hapitha’s first daughter.

Oh…

“I mean, why are you hiding and peeping? Did you do something wrong?” She added with a scoff.

“Did it actually look like we were peeping?” Kayla asked.
“Actually, it didn’t seem so. Unless, you’re actually the one peeping at us”.

Mansi was amazed.

“Are you for real?” She asked. “I was peeping at you?”

“Look, since you weren’t peeping and we weren’t peeping either, maybe we should just act like we didn’t see anything. So, why don’t you proceed with where you’re headed? Unless… you’re actually here to see me” Kaylan said with a shrug and Mansi stared at her with disbelief

Completely mannerless.

She huffed and walked away.

“Come on, Kaylan. I think we should get going. You’re causing so much trouble”. Jaden said and reached for her hand.
And just then, Kaylan gasped widely.

“Jaden!!” She shirked.
“I think I’ve gotten a perfect idea already!”

Jaden was almost forced to roll her eyes.

“What idea, Kaylan?” She asked.

“The plan I told you about – making Xander see me with so much respect, I think have my first step already – right now”.

Jaden kept wondering what Kaylan was upto as she ran to the room. She was tired of watching her, so just kept silent and weather the drama.

“I need a very good dress, Jaden” Kaylan said, ruffling through the clothes in her closet.
Seriously?

“I’m still trying to understand what exactly you have in mind, young lady” Jaden said, but Kaylan paid no attention to her as she just concentrated on looking for the best dress instead.

She searched and searched and after a while, came up with a long blue dress. Hmm.

“This is the beautiful, right?” She asked as she showed it to Jaden.

“Yeah….”: Jaden drew her reply and quickly, Kaylan stripped herself so she could put it on.

“Come on, Jaden. I need you to make me up” Kaylan held her hand and drew her towards the mirror before Jaden could even utter a word.

Lord Xander didn’t spend much time in the field again as his mood had already been ruined in the first place. Prince Berlin challenging him to a fight? That was something he wasn’t expecting anytime soon.

After training his men for a few more times, he dropped his sword and walked towards his chambers.

“Get me Anya” he told Axel at the entrance before walking in.

Anya was standing in front of the mirror, staring down at her tummy with her hand caressing it. She couldn’t believe she was carrying Lord Xander’s child. She was pregnant for him!

She had so many thoughts running through her mind as she stared at her tummy which was still flat – luckily for her.

But how does she go about it? Lord Xander had warned her countlessly to avoid getting pregnant for him and she knew it’d only look like an act of disobedient if he finds out she was pregnant already. What does she do about it?

Zane could possibly kill her if he gets to know about it. Yes, he would. But .. would he really be so heartless to murder his own flesh and blood? Would he?

She thought pathetically, being so confused and her head already aching due to the much thinking. Or should she actually go for a termination or something? Would that be wise?

But why must she really go for a termination? What if she decides to keep this child….

Just then, there was a knock on her door which snapped her out of thougts. For no reason, she flinched. Maybe, because she thought whoever was knocking might’ve heard her thoughts.
Oh, Anya! She was going crazy.

“Who’s it?” She asked calmly as she walked to the door and opened it and oh….it was Axel.

Oh, no. Her heart skipped heavily. Each time Axel showed up in front of her room, it only meant one thing.

“A… Axel” she stuttered and lowered her gaze to the floor, looking so nervous.
“Greetings”.

“Greetings to you too, Anya. My Master wants you in his room – now” Axel delivered his message, turned around and left.

Anya could feel her heart in her throat. He was calling for her already. Goodness; no! What does she do?

She locked the door and leaned her back on it, her forehead sweating profusely. She felt so anxious and wondered if Xander wouldn’t notice a thing if he continues having sèx with her in this condition. For the past few days during their intercourse, she’d been feeling some slight pains on her pelvíc and now that she’s confirmed she’s pregnant, it became clear to her that the sèx had been too rough on her.

She didn’t want him to get to know about this baby in anyway, at least, not yet until she’s figured out a perfect plan.

She brushed her fingers into her hair, thinking of what to do, but unfortunately, she couldn’t come up with one and concluded the only solution at that moment was to indeed, submit to him and pray nothing out of the ordinary happens.

She walked over to her closet and found something more suitable to wear, then finally left the room for his.

Kaylan had a huge smile on her face as she watched Jaden do a really good job on her.

” I know you’ve always been the best at this, Jaden’ she beamed happily and clapped her hands.

“Yeah, thanks for the compliment. But you still haven’t told me what your perfect plan is, Kaylan?” Jaden asked, applying some gloss on her lips.
“Are you looking this good because you actually want Lord Xander to see you and feel impressed?”

Kaylan’s didn’t reply immediately as she waited for her to finish with her lips.

“You got that right, Jaden” she said when Jaden was done.
“You know, since I arrived here at the mansion, I’ve always been dressing like some toy and I guess that’s the reason Xander doesn’t want to respect me. So, today, I’ll make him see the real beauty in me. And when he does, I’m not even gonna give him an opportunity to say hi as I’d just simply walk away and make him wish he had me”. She enthused and Jaden nearly bursted out laughing.

“I really wouldn’t want to say you’re crazy, Kaylan, but I think you are. I mean, how do you even plan on getting to someone as busy as Xander?” Jaden asked.

“Of course, I can, Jaden. Just wait and watch….”

Few more minutes, and Jaden was finally through with her work on her face.

“You’re beautiful, actually” She complimented and watched Kaylan’s cheek glow with blush.
She touched her cheek as she stood up from her seat and turned left and right.

“Thank you, honey. Now, let’s get to work” she started walking out of the room, and Jaden, having no choice and really wanting to watch the drama that would take place, just followed.
