GOOD DECISION or MISPLACED PRIORITY? Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) To Start Carrying Guns

Published

What is this country turning into. FRSC to start carrying firearms?

The House of Representatives Committee on Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has disclosed that operatives of the corps will begin to bear arms to curtail the excesses of road users in the country according to the Chairman of the committee, Akinfolarin Mayowa, during the corps’ 2020 budget performance and 2021 budget defence, on Thursday, November 5, in Abuja.

He said that the 1992 Act of FRSC allowed the corps to bear arms, adding, however, that this had yet to be implemented.

The chairman said it was necessary that the laws of the land were obeyed to allow the corps to function effectively by bearing arms.

The lawmaker said that the committee would meet with the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) and also write to President Muhammadu Buhari to ensure the implementation of the Act.

Lol what’s wrong with these people. Whats the relationship with road safety and guns.

These guys have been extorting motorists on a daily without guns, imagine giving them guns na to start killing drivers.

Guns to check driving licence and motor particulars? Also send them to Sambisa to fight Boko-Haram. These people in power do not have sense at all. They should equally give guns to LASMA, VIO, including NYSC too.

Well, that’s my opinion. How about you? Do you buy the idea of giving arm to FRSC?
