Natasha Akpoti, Also Good In Bed : Kogites
NATASHA, ALSO GOOD IN BED
Recently, while bedridden for an undisclosed ailment, politician and social activist, Barr. Natasha Hadiza Akpoti, donated ventilators to Lokoja Federal Medical Centre, Kogi State. She felt the urgency of the moment and the need to prepare for Covid-19 outbreak in the state.
What the state government can not provide she provide three of it…
Some people are questioning why the donation was made to a federal medical facility and not the state-owned specialist hospital, and I told them both facilities are serving the people of Kogi State and other Nigerians living in the state. Period.
Still in bed, Barr. Akpoti, earlier today announced, via her twitter handle, a photography prize of $1000 (N360,000). Entry will be a drone picture, that is, aerial view of Mount Patti, Lokoja, Kogi State.
I personally think this is a good initiative and I pray local politics won’t scuttle this creative empowerment from her.
The contest, according to her, will be hosted on twitter where winner will be decided (through) by public votes.

ASUU to call off strike soon, gives reasons for setback
The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) in a recent statement sheds light on the setback on the resumption of tertiary academics activities.
The union is calling on the government to carry out an integrity test on the University Transparency and Accountability Solution, UTAS, before the strike is disbanded, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, the President of ASUU revealed in an interview with The Punch. In his own words:
“We are still talking, we have given them the position of our members, we are thinking we should be able to hold a meeting this week if they have not changed plans.
“The meeting for Monday was postponed. In principal, they have accepted UTAS and told us to go for the test, and on our part, we have started the process.
“We had presented UTAS at three levels, starting with the Ministry of Education, Senate President and members of his team, officials of Ministry of Finance and Office of the Accountant General of the Federation, where all other stakeholders were present, including NITDA, all stakeholders have witnessed the presentation and the next stage of integrity test is what we are moving in to.
“If government facilitates it, it is not something that should drag for too long at all. We don’t foresee any problem with UTAS; it also depends on how early the government makes it possible for the integrity test to be conducted.” he added
