Popular controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, has taken a swipe at members of the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria who lack good personal hygiene.

The self-proclaimed investigative journalist took to her Twitter page to admonish Yorubas to scrub their tongues when brushing their teeth, which she says is better than using a chewing stick.

A video making the rounds on social media has captured the moment a Nigerian soldier used scissors to cut a man’s hair in Peere, Ibadan.

Reports gathered that the soldier allegedly harrassed and extorted money from him, before he picked up a scissors to cut his hair.

In the video which is currently going viral, the young man was seen sitting on the bare floor, as the soldier grabbed a scissors to cut off his hair.

The video has sparked outrage on social media with most Nigerians condemning the act, especially after the series of protests against brutality and harassment.

In the video sighted by Lailas News, man who was dressed in the full uniform of the Nigerian Army could be seen whipping the woman in public.

The shocking incident occurred in Beere community of Ibadan, Oyo state, and many explained that the soldier beat her because of what he called ‘indecent’ dressing.

Many onlookers stood in shock as the soldier meted out the ‘punishment.’ They allegedly collected money from them after harassing and extorting them.

Following the public outcry, the soldiers have been arrested and taken to the barracks. This was disclosed on Twitter by the state Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Seun Fakorede.

He wrote;

”My ears are full with news of the unlawful activities of some Soldiers of the Nigerian Army, over the weekend.
I have immediately reached out to the Commandant of the Operation Burst and I’ve been assured that the men involved in this distasteful operation have been arrested and taken to the barracks — they will be dealt with accordingly.
This will not repeat itself again in Oyo State. Please, kindly go about your daily business and activities without fear. Thank you.”
